I AM OFFERING THIS "BALTIMORE ORIOLE BASEBALL HALL OF FAME", VERY RARE PRINT, THAT I CREATED FROM THE PRESS PIT, AFTER CAL AND TONY GWYNN'S CEREMONY, FOR INDUCTION INTO THE MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL HALL OF FAME, COOPERSTOWN, NEW YORK - JULY 29, 2007. THE HALL OF FAMERS PICTURED FROM LEFT TO RIGHT ARE AS FOLLOWS: JIM PALMER, CAL RIPKEN,Jr., MANAGER EARL WEAVER, BROOKS ROBINSON, FRANK ROBINSON, EDDIE MURRAY. MY OFFERING HERE IS PART OF DRUNGO AND HIS FAMILIES MEMORIAL FUNDRAISER, FOR THEIR LATE SON, AUBREY HAZEWOOD, WHO PASSED AWAY ON AUGUST 17, 2012, TO ASSIST WITH THEIR FUNERAL EXPENSES. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME ANYONE HAS EVER SEEN THIS PRINT, AND IT IS BEING OFFERED IN A LIMITED EDITION OF 100, NUMBERED AND SIGNED, BY ME, THE ARTIST AND FORMER TEAMMATE OF CALS, PRINTS, IN THIS SIZE, 11"X18", WITH A 1" MATTE BORDER. THIS GICLEE PRINT IS PRINTED ON THE FINEST QUALITY ARCHIVAL PIGMENT PAPER, NEVER TO BE DUPLICATED AGAIN. ALL PROFITS FROM THE SALE OF THIS OFFERING WILL BE SENT TO DRUNGO AND HIS FAMILY. AS A FORMER TEAMMATE OF CAL'S, I WANTED TO EXPERIENCE THIS DAY IN COOPERSTOWN, AND HONOR HIS GREATNESS AS A PERSON AND A BASEBALL PLAYER, AS WELL AS MAKE A PHOTOGRAPHIC HISTORY OF THIS DAY. I WAS ONE OF THE FIRST FANS ON THE MESA AND I WAS THE LAST FAN TO LEAVE, AS I PHOTOGRAPHED THE FAN MESA, AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE CEREMONY, COMPLETELY EMPTY FROM THE HALL OF FAMERS STAGE. I TRAVELED FROM SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO. MY FLIGHT WAS DECLARED CANCELLED, AFTER SITTING IN THE AIRPORT FOR SEVERAL HOURS, FROM DULLES AIRPORT TO NEW YORK CITY, SO I HITCHED A RIDE, WITH AN UNKNOWN FELLOW PASSENGER, THAT HAPPENED TO WORK FOR A RENTAL CAR AGENCY, AND LANDED IN NEW YORK CITY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. I KIND OF HALF SLEPT IN GRAND CENTRAL STATION, AND WORKED MY WAY TO MY IN-LAWS HOUSE IN CONNECTICUT, WHERE THEY LET ME BORROW THEIR CAR TO DRIVE TO COOPERSTOWN. I ARRIVED AROUND 12:00AM IN COOPERSTOWN, AND WHEN I ASKED THE PERSON AT THE FRONT DESK OF THE MOTEL, FOR A ROOM, HE PAUSED, AND SAID I COULD NOT GET A ROOM FOR FIFTY MILES OUT. HE SAID I COULD SLEEP IN HIS PARKING LOT FOR $30.00. I PAID HIM AND I SLEPT IN THE BACKSEAT OF MY CAR, WOKE UP AT SUN-UP, AS MY FEET WERE HANGING OUTSIDE THE WINDOW, AND IT WAS HOT AND MUGGY. EARLY THAT MORNING I ARRIVED ON THE MESA AND AS THE DAY PROGRESSED, I WAS ENGULFED IN A SEA OF ORANGE. 75,000 CAL, TONY GWYNN, ORIOLE FANS, SAN DIEGO PADRE FANS, AND BASEBALL FANS, FOR WHAT TURNED OUT TO BE JUST A TERRIFIC DAY. HOW I ENDED UP IN THE FRONT ROW OF THE PRESS PIT IS A VERY LONG STORY, BUT I WILL TELL YOU, WHEN CAL'S BRAIN REGISTERED THAT I WAS THERE IN THE PRESS PIT, MAYBE TEN FEET FROM THE PLAYERS, AT THE MOST, WITH MY CAMERA, HE DID A MAXIMUM TRIPLE TAKE!!!! WHEN THE CEREMONY HAD ENDED AND THE HALL OF FAMERS (53 OF THEM) STARTED TO EXIT, I CONGRATULATED CAL AND THEN YELLED, " ALL ORIOLES BACK FOR AN "ORIOLE HALL OF FAME TEAM PHOTOGRAPH". EDDIE MURRAY PASSED THE WORD, AND THE ORIOLE HALL-OF-FAMERS WERE KIND ENOUGH TO RESPOND. THE RESULT IS AN EXCEPTIONAL BASEBALL COLLECTIBLE. THIS PRINT IS AN "ORIOLES FAN" MUST HAVE AND A COLLECTORS GEM, SO PLEASE PURCHASE IT TO ASSIST WITH OUR FUNDRAISING MISSION FOR DRUNGO AND HIS FAMILY. AS A FINE ART PRINT, IN A GALLERY, OR TO PRIVATE COLLECTORS, I WOULD NOT SELL THIS PRINT FOR LESS THAN $1000.00. I AM SELLING THIS PRINT FOR $150.00, OF WHICH $100.00 WILL GO TO DRUNGO AND HIS FAMILY. THE REMAINING $50.00 IS TO COVER MY GICLEE' PRINTING EXPENSES, MAILING COVERING AND FEDX/UPS/USPS CHARGES. BE THE "LOVE" FOR DRUNGO AND HIS FAMILY!!!!

AS A SIDE NOTE: MY GREAT, GREAT, UNCLE, WILBERT ROBINSON, A CATCHER FOR THE BALTIMORE ORIOLES IN THE 1890'S, AND LONG TIME MANAGER OF THE BROOKLYN DODGERS, IS A MEMBER OF THE BASEBALL HALL OF FAME. HE WAS INDUCTED AS A MANAGER AND IS THE ONLY PLAYER TO HAVE 7 HITS IN A NINE INNING GAME.
